I like to make people feel as if they are talking to an old friend.

It is a real privilege to hear someone’s troubles. I’m always very mindful of that when I take someone’s case. Having a past in the legal industry, I take confidentiality very seriously, and I want my clients to know they can trust me with their vulnerability completely.

For me, once I’ve heard someone’s story, when I see them again it’s like I’m seeing an old friend. I want to hear how they are and how they have been, and if they are better I celebrate with them, and if they need more help then I want to do everything I can for them - just as I would a good friend. My goal is for my clients to not need to see me for years at a time, if at all, but when I do see them again it is always wonderful!

I see people of all ages, men and women, children through to seniors. I love the variety and the different stages of life people are working through. My personal favourite is working with women and children. I see so many burnt out mothers, and helping the child or the mother return to health both mentally and physically has a resounding effect on the family as a whole. With children it is so wonderful to know that their future is all the better from unblocking health issues early on. Women are so often suppressed under the pressures of society, whether they are a mother or simply trying to find their place in the world. With cycles and hormones and societal pressures in the mix, health and wellbeing both mentally and physically is so important for our females to be able to fulfil their very important role in our community.

My Story

I always had an interest in Natural Health – vitamins and supplements and herbs. My mother was always looking for more natural options for us. When I was two years old I had reoccurring tonsillitis. Eventually, my mother took me to a homeopath who prescribed me a remedy. I did not have tonsillitis again for over 20 years.

After high school, I looked at Herbal Medicine courses, but decided to study business instead. That lead to working for a very reputable skin care company. After a couple of years, I returned to study for my Legal Executive Certificate. A North Shore law firm took me on, and I worked there for a few years, even beginning some of my university papers towards a Law Degree, before hopping on a plane and setting off for great OE adventures. I worked in law firms in  Australia, London and Scotland before returning home to NZ where my eldest son was born.

At two months old my lovely little baby erupted in head-to-toe eczema. He was allergic to dust mites, animal danders, pollens and many foods. To ease his discomfort, I tried everything and anything. Along the way, I reawakened that long-ago interest in studying natural health, and began looking at naturopathic colleges. Somehow, I was side-tracked into a weekend of homeopathy. There, I fell in love with homeopathy and signed up for my four year Level 7 Diploma which I qualified with Merit from in 2012. I have never looked back!

There is nothing quite so wonderful as seeing the healing response in someone after taking a remedy - whether it be for a bump or a chronic condition. I love knowing that someone’s new awareness about what homeopathy can do for them will change their life.
